My friends and I got the first album before anyone else we knew had even heard of them. We collected Beatle cards and bought the teen magazines that featured them. We saw them play at the Milwaukee Arena and got together to celebrate the 50th anniversary of that screaming, sobbing evening.

I wrote an essay about John Lennon’s sway over my life that received the Barry Lopez Nonfiction Prize (judged by David Quammen) and was published in Cutthroat, Journal of the Arts.

Measuring 5-1/2” x 5-1/2”, the same as Yoko Ono’s 1964 book Grapefruit. It is 48 pages in length.
